Diffraction nature of elastic dd and dt scattering at average energies

Angular distributions of elastically scattered deuterons in d+ 2,3 H and d+ 3 He collisions are analyzed in the energy range of 12 < E d < 100 MeV. A quantitative description of the experimental data at angles θ c.m. ≤ 60° is obtained using a microscopic diffraction model. The structural pecul...

Zusammenfassung:Angular distributions of elastically scattered deuterons in d+ 2,3 H and d+ 3 He collisions are analyzed in the energy range of 12 < E d < 100 MeV. A quantitative description of the experimental data at angles θ c.m. ≤ 60° is obtained using a microscopic diffraction model. The structural peculiarities of dd and dt angular distributions are qualitatively explained within a quasi-classical approximation. It is shown that the interference between classical and diffraction amplitudes is considerable at energies E d < 37 MeV.
