Zusammenfassung:SR XRF is used to study the multielement composition of the hair of two strains of cattle and aurochs endemic to the Altai Mountains. Reliable pedigree and species differences are established in the accumulation of macro- and microelements. A close interconnection is demonstrated to exist between the content of elements in the hair and bone tissue of wild animals and the hair of horned cattle and atmospheric aerosols of the Altai.
