Zusammenfassung: | Using the 2012 cycle of the Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS), we conducted a comparative analysis of the health outcomes of inner city Ottawans relative to mainstream Ottawans, in order to delineate disparate health outcomes in need of public health intervention. Conclusions: The findings of the comparative analysis are sobering (e.g. a female participant in PROUD is 13 times more likely to die from lung cancer than a female participant in CCHS!) and call for greater public health intervention in the health of Ottawa's homeless/insecurely housed poly-substance user population. |
