C80-B MULTI-MODALITY ASSESSMENT OF COPD, ASTHMA, AND ASTHMA-COPD OVERLAP SYNDROME: Computed Tomography Visual Emphysema Scoring And Quantitative Measurements Provide Independent And Complementary Information In COPD

Spirometry and plethysmography were performed for measurement of the forced-expiratory-volume-in-1s (FEV1, forced-vital-capacity (FVC) and diffusion-capacity-of-the-lung-for-carbon-monoxide (DLCO)- Radiologists visually scored CT emphysema on a 5-point scale. Conclusions: These findings suggest that...

Zusammenfassung:Spirometry and plethysmography were performed for measurement of the forced-expiratory-volume-in-1s (FEV1, forced-vital-capacity (FVC) and diffusion-capacity-of-the-lung-for-carbon-monoxide (DLCO)- Radiologists visually scored CT emphysema on a 5-point scale. Conclusions: These findings suggest that visual emphysema scoring provides information independent of quantitative measures of lesion size, distribution or other morphological features related to COPD, further supporting the notion that visual and quantitative measures capture complementary information.
