Zusammenfassung:Methods: We performed a cross-sectional analysis of 1,690 participants in the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis (MESA) Sleep Study, a multicenter NHLBI-funded cohort of community-dwelling adults who underwent polysomnography and chest CT imaging. Conclusions: OSA and nocturnal hypoxemia are associated with high attenuation areas on CT and with higher serum MMP-7 and SP-A in community-dwelling adults, suggesting a pathogenic role of OSA in subclinical ILD.
