Zusammenfassung: | Human mesenchymal stromal cells (hMSC) have been shown to reduce the severity of bacterial pneumonia induced acute respiratory distress syndrome in the Rat (1). A lower dose of 100ug extracellular vesicles delivered by intra-tracheal instillation was also efficacious in the animal model; animal survival was enhanced and the decrement in arterial oxygen pressure was significantly reduced compared to PBS vehicle control animals (Figure 1). |
