Zusammenfassung:Methods We conducted a retrospective cohort analysis (03/2009-04/2013) of invasively mechanically ventilated (IMV) patients with Pediatric ARDS (PARDS) admitted to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles ICU. For a given FiO2, the relative distance from ARDSNet recommended PEEP levels were assigned (i.e. -5 meant PEEP 5 cm H20 below ARDSNet recommendations). The median distances over the first 24 hours of PARDS diagnosis were used for analysis.
