A32 ASTHMA AND ALLERGY CLINICAL STUDIES: Factors Associated With Asthma-Specific Health Related Quality Of Life In African American Children With Asthma Receiving Care From Primary Care Pediatricians

Methods: As part of the Asthma Symptom-based adjustment of Inhaled Steroid Therapy in African American children (ASIST) study, 206 African American children (6-17 years old) with mild asthma were enrolled from 12 primary care pediatric practices. Parents and children completed Patient- Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) asthma impact (child n=140, proxy n=197), Asthma Control Test (ACT) or child-ACT questionnaires at baseline and parents reported their child's status of asthma self-management.
