C105 DISORDERS OF RESPIRATORY PHYSIOLOGY AND SLEEP IN CHILDREN: Predicting Critical Closing Airway Pressure In Obstructive Sleep Apnea Patients Using Fluid Structure Interaction Simulations

Zusammenfassung:Towards that end, we conducted a prospective study to compare a measured (airway closing pressure) Pcrit to a predicted closing pressure derived from Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) simulations in airway anatomical models constructed from upper airway imaging. Airway stiffness was derived by performing image analysis on static Magnetic Resonance (MR) images of upper airway at zero and two positive pressures using the Tube law.
