Zusammenfassung:Extensive laboratory studies of serum, pleural and lymph node tissue including flow cytometry never revealed a diagnosis. The patient underwent repeat surgical axillary lymph node biopsy which showed numerous unusual "C" and "ring" shaped palisading necrotizing granulomas with eosinophilic microabscesses (Figure 1) consistent with limited eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA).
