Zusammenfassung:On day two of hospital stay, he developed sudden onset of lower extremity weakness, altered mental status described as drowsiness, increased lethargy, headache and neck stiffness. Antibiotics and acyclovir were discontinued and intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) therapy was started with significant improvement of the neurological symptoms except urinary retention and ability to ambulate.
