Zusammenfassung: | When symptom control is insufficient with monotherapy, current guidelines recommend combining long-acting bronchodilators with differing mechanisms of action, such as the combination of long-acting muscarinic antagonists (LAMAs) with long-acting ß(2)-agonists (LABAs) and LABAs with inhaled corticosteroids (ICS). The objective of this review was to compare the efficacy of inhaled bronchodilator combinations in stable COPD including combination LABA and LAMA (i.e., LABA + LAMA) and combination ICS and LABA (i.e., ICS + LABA). Since relatively few direct comparisons are available in the current literature, this review aimed to perform a network meta-analysis to indirectly compare treatment options. |
