Zusammenfassung: | Patients were screened in the emergency department of 16 US academic hospitals for enrollment in the Lung Injury Prevention Study with Aspirin (LIPS-A), a randomized, multicenter, double-blind clinical trial of aspirin or placebo in patients at risk for ARDS. Plasma concentrations of thromboxane B2 (TxB2) and aspirin-triggered lipoxin A4 (ATL), and peripheral blood leukocyte number and activation (leukocyte-platelet aggregates, CD11b surface expression) were determined. |
