Zusammenfassung:The aim of this study was to evaluate the type of patients and the effectiveness of long-term azithromycin, when used in a real life practice, in reducing exacerbations in COPD patients on optimal therapy. Conclusion: These data from real life practice suggest that long-term azithromycin reduces the risk of exacerbations in patients with severe or very severe COPD on optimal therapy and still having a history of recurrent exacerbations.
