Zusammenfassung: | Outcome measures (6-minute walk distance [6MWD], Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale [HADS], St. Georgés Respiratory Questionnaire [SGRQ] and Chronic Respiratory Questionnaire [CRQ]) were assessed at PR admission [T0] and discharge [T1]. Conclusion In contrast to CG patients, NIV patients were able to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression directly following PR and after 3 months follow-up. Since exercise capacity and health-related quality of life improved to a comparable extent in NIV and CG patients, the duration of 3 weeks might have been too short to demonstrate a beneficial effect of NIV, as suggested by previous trials. |
