C107 MITOCHONDRIA AND METABOLIC ALTERATIONS IN LUNG DISEASE: Using Metabolomics To Define Ards Endotypes
After obtaining informed consent, serum samples were collected from septic (severe sepsis or septic shock) ventilated patients with ARDS (from 2009 - 2014), from patients with pneumonia who progressed to ARDS (from 2009 - 2014) and from ventilated ICU control patients during the same time period and...

Zusammenfassung: | After obtaining informed consent, serum samples were collected from septic (severe sepsis or septic shock) ventilated patients with ARDS (from 2009 - 2014), from patients with pneumonia who progressed to ARDS (from 2009 - 2014) and from ventilated ICU control patients during the same time period and stored in CCEPTR, an ICU tissue bank. 96 sepsis-induced (indirect lung injury) ARDS patients and 56 pneumonia-induced (direct lung injury) ARDS were identified and compared. The PLS-DA data comparing these three groups reveals a model with an R2 = 0.66, Q2 = 0.44, p = 1.977 x 10-35. [...]NMR metabolomics data analysis reveals good ARDS endotype separation. |
