Zusammenfassung:Rationale: Blood coagulation abnormalities are consistently observed in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), even though their nature and association with the progression of the disease remain largely unclear. Methods: We enrolled 61 participants, none of whom were on any antiplatelet/anticoagulation therapy: 33 PAH patients (mean Pulmonary Artery Pressure/mPAP: 42.9±5.4 mmHg, Pulmonary Vascular Resistance/PVR: 8.2±1.6 Wood Units), 8 with inoperable chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension / CTEPH (mPAP: 46.9±9.5 mmHg, PVR: 13.7±2.7WU) and 20 controls.
