C47 COPD: PHYSIOLOGIC ASSESSMENT: A Model To Predict Residual Volume From Forced Spirometry Measurements
Furthermore, severe elevation in residual volume (RV) is an important selection criteria for surgical and endobronchial lung volume reduction techniques. Given that air flow obstruction represented by decreased FEV1/FVC may lead to air trapping and that the consequences of air trapping may impact on...

Zusammenfassung: | Furthermore, severe elevation in residual volume (RV) is an important selection criteria for surgical and endobronchial lung volume reduction techniques. Given that air flow obstruction represented by decreased FEV1/FVC may lead to air trapping and that the consequences of air trapping may impact on FVC, we postulated that high residual volume could be predicted simply from these spirometric data in patients with COPD. |
