A74 REGULATORY MECHANISMS OF THE MOLECULAR PATHWAYS IN FIBROSIS: Circulating Desmosine Levels In Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis And Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Introduction: Although chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) are different from a clinical perspective, common initial pathogenic steps have been suggested in both lung diseases. Zusammenfassung:Introduction: Although chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) are different from a clinical perspective, common initial pathogenic steps have been suggested in both lung diseases. Methods: bDES levels were measured by a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) assay in 79 IPF patients, 142 patients with moderate to severe COPD and 84 controls.
