Zusammenfassung:Chest CT scan showed ground-glass attenuation throughout the lungs compatible with pulmonary edema, and neck CT scan revealed hyperostosis of the anterior longitudinal ligaments on the vertebral bodies of C2-7 with narrowing of the laryngopharynx and trachea. [...]the patient was diagnosed with NPPE due to DISH. Because DISH is a relatively common disorder in elderly people, this case highlights the importance of including DISH as the etiology of respiratory failure with acute airway obstruction.
