Zusammenfassung:Case Report: A 60-year-old former smoker Bangladeshi male, with history of invasive moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of the rectum diagnosed two months before admission presented with severe decline in exercise tolerance from 4-5 blocks to a few steps, persistent dry cough, worsening shortness of breath and generalized malaise since three weeks. [...]cytology studies on bronchial washings resulted positive for adenocarcinoma, and the diffuse interstitial thickening seen on the CT scan was hence clinically judged to represent tumor infiltration of the pulmonary lymphatic system, with rectal cancer presumably the primary.
