Zusammenfassung:Methods: Transcriptomic profiles were generated from sorted CD8+ T lymphocytes obtained from peripheral blood collected at the time of first hospital discharge, from preterm and full-term infants enrolled in the NHLBI Prematurity and Respiratory Outcomes Program (PROP) at the University of Rochester and the University at Buffalo (n=145). Summary: Gene expression from peripheral blood lymphocytes can predict respiratory outcomes in preterm infants and provides novel information on disease processes associated with disease states.
