Orthorhombic centers of rare-earth S-ions in lutetium–aluminum garnet crystals

Electron paramagnetic resonance spectra of Eu 2+ and Gd 3+ centers in Lu 3 Al 5 O 12 single crystals have been studied and the parameters of their rhombic spin Hamiltonian have been determined.
