Zusammenfassung: | An abstract of the study by MacIntyre evaluating thirteen youth football players from one self-governed, southeastern regional football league for concussion from August through September within one season. Results show that the average number of days before being cleared to start the RTP protocol was 10, and for full RTP was 19 (Range: 12-39). Only two players had recurring symptoms during the RTP protocol which required them to re-start the protocol. One player reported being "afraid to get hit again" during the RTP protocol and another did not RTP for the remainder of the season (parental decision). |
