Zusammenfassung:We have performed a simulation of the convectively induced ascent of the gas–dust cloud formed during the atmospheric passage and explosion of the Chelyabinsk meteoroid. The acceleration, velocity, and rise of the gas–dust cloud have been described as functions of time and altitude. The time of dust settling in the atmosphere has been estimated. The results of calculations are in a close agreement with the observational data.
