Zusammenfassung:This article documents the perspectives of health and social services workers providing services to multiethnic communities in Montreal concerning the impact of the "Charter of Values" proposed by the Quebec government in the autumn of 2013. Results suggest that this public debate affected practitioners and the well-being of communities, mainly minorities, but of the majority as well. These results also highlight the fact that divisive social debates can influence the "living together" and the relationship to the Other in health and social services.
