Infection after total knee arthroplasty by M. catarrhalis associated with rheumatoid arthritis and DMARDs therapy
Moraxella catarrhalis is not commonly associated with prosthetic joint infection (PJI). We present the first case of a patient with rheumatoid arthritis on certolizumab, an anti-tumor necrosis factor therapy, who developed PJI following a total knee replacement.
