Zusammenfassung: | The purpose of this study was to explore the textiles and apparel curriculum in Mongolian higher education. Data were collected from 12 individual interviews conducted with seven professors and five industry professionals in a city in Mongolia. Results indicated that four areas of the discipline were lacking in the curriculum: (i) fashion marketing and business, (ii) knitwear design and product development, (iii) professional development, and (iv) entrepreneurship. Industry professionals strongly emphasized the importance of soft skills. The authors have suggested additional courses to the curriculum in Mongolia based on the International Textiles and Apparel Association (ITAA) meta‐goals. |
