Because of the emerging importance of the ILs as green materials with wide ranging applications and our general interests in green processes such as sonication, 1-butoxyl-3-butyl imidazolium bromide (alkoxyl-functionalized) and their derivatives were synthesized using a facile and green US assisted procedure.
