Zusammenfassung: | We describe a simple, innovative classroom exercise designed to heighten students' understanding of stereotyping and prejudice. Students enjoyed the exercise and indicated it helped increase their awareness and understanding of their own and others' stereotypes and prejudice and the negative effects of prejudice. Students of color reported more benefits from the exercise. We provide suggestions and recommendations for carrying out the exercise. |
