FIRST SOCIAL WORK INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE. ENVISIONING SUSTAINABLE SOCIAL WORK: EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES AND INDIVIDUALS: Bucharest, Faculty of Sociology and Social Work November 3-4 2016

Social Work International Conference Envisioning Sustainable Social Work: Empowering Communities and Individuals had its first edition on November 3-4 2016 at the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Sociology and Social Work in partnership with The Association of Schools of Social Work in Romania. The venue of the conference was the newest building of the University of Bucharest, a hub for interdisciplinary research and a host of several recent international conferences (e.g. on migration and European Social Survey). The University of Bucharest is one of the most important universities in Romania being established in 1864. Before the official opening of the conference there were three workshops organised (with modicum fees) for social work practitioners (see a description of them bellow). Participants of the conference (more than 75) were from various countries, such as UK, Sweden, Israel, Croatia, Belgium, Hungary, Iran, Spain, Italy, France and Romania.
