Zusammenfassung: | The behavior of charged particles in a curved electrostatic-cyclone channel model is described. The model is built using a finite-element method. The electric field is calculated for a corona discharge electrode voltage of 15 kV. The flow field is calculated for gas velocities of 1, 3, and 5 m/sec. Trajectories for particle sizes of 1, 10, 50, and 100 μm are obtained. Re-entrainment is demonstrated to exist within the annular channel. |
