The synthesis and fungicidal activity of a series of 1-aryltetrazole-5-sulphones

The synthesis and fungicidal activity of a series of l‐aryltetrazole‐5‐sulphones are reported. Their activity against Plasmopara viticola is described. It is proposed that the compounds act as general electrophiles. Structure‐activity relationships are discussed in broad terms.
