Mechanistic role of Per2 and PPAR-gamma in ethanol mediated hyperpermeability

To elucidate the role of PPAR-gamma protein in ethanol-induced epithelial barrier dysfunction, we grew Caco-2 cells on cell culture microplates until confluence. TEER reconfirmed the negative effect of ethanol on epithelial barrier function.
