Analyse statistique de la diversité floristique dans la région de Beni-Haoua, Chlef, Algérie

The main objective of this study carried out in the area of Beni-Haoua, Chlef, a coastal mountainous ecosystem, is the inventory and the study of the flora in this area, using statistical methods. The resultsshowed the existence of 3 vegetation units each characterized by a specific number of diagnostic species with fidelity from 42% up to 100%, 17 differentials species belonging to 2 vegetation units and 20 generalist species distributed along the three vegetation units. The canonical analysis showed a strong relationship between the flora and the environmental parameters prevailing in this area, according to the marginal effects, altitude and pH were the most important environmental factors conditioning the flora distribution in the area of Beni-Haoua.
