Zusammenfassung:The paper presents a dimensioning method for a five-bar mechanism of a robot that positions a molecular spectrometer SCIO in a determined work space; method is used for parametric design of the robot by using Visual Basic programming environment of MS Office Excel application; EXCEL obtained table is taken for parametric design of the five-bar mechanism in CATIA, for a required workspace. This mechanism supports a molecular spectrometer SCIO in order to measure the content of antioxidants in vegetables and fruits. In order to verify the correctness of dimensioning, the mechanism was modeled in Catia V5 and it was simulated the kinematics movement results of the standard sizes.
