In an interview with Amy Sutherland in The Boston Globe of March 12, 2016, the Irish novelist Colm Tóibín responded to the question whether there was an author he wished were better known by replying, "I notice that fewer people seem to be reading Wallace Stevens and talking about his work. The 53rd Annual Wallace Stevens Poetry Program at the University of Connecticut featured Carl Phillips, the author of over a dozen books of poetry, criticism, and translation. Mr. Berry is the author of two full-length collections and directs the creative writing poetry at Trinity College in Hartford.
