Zusammenfassung: | The cover picture shows a rapid enrichment technique of tracers for the metabolic fate of exogenous D‐erythro sphingolipids that bear perfluoroalkyl chains from multiple molecule pools. It was shown that newly synthesized fluorous sphingolipids could be readily separated from nonfluorous sphingolipids by using the fluorous solid‐phase extraction method. Additionally, fluorous sphingolipids were shown to exhibit hardly any cytotoxicity towards NIH3T3 cells, which is comparable to that of normal sphingolipids, and to have the ability to act as substrates of a metabolic enzyme. Details are discussed in the Full Paper by K. Monde et al. on page 1045 ff (DOI: 10.1002/ejoc.201601302). |
