Zusammenfassung:Longer trips during and after the conference included (1) a tour of the USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center and Refuge, (2) an open house at the Bird Division of the National Museum of Natural History, (3) a half-day trip to Huntly Meadows Wetland Park in Fairfax County, Virginia, (4) a full-day trip to Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge and nearby migrant shorebird habitats, (5) a full-day trip to Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, and (6) a two-day trip to Chincoteague NWR and Saxix Marsh, the largest remaining saltmarsh on the Eastern Shore.
