JOSÉ ECHEGARAY: UNA INTERPRETACIÓN GLOBAL

Jose Echegaray was a notable politician, scientist, economist and playwright in the late nineteenth century. For this reason, his work requires an interdisciplinary approach to analyze the different roles carried out by Echegaray and the relationships between them. In order to facilitate understanding of the optimism and individualism of Echegaray, this paper highlights the importance of his scientific background and its connection with professional groups such as lawyers, economists, teachers and engineers that arose in the mid-nineteenth century.
