MUSLIMS, ISLAM AND ITS GROWING IMPACT ON EUROPEAN SECURITY

The Muslim world means the part of the population professing Islam, the religion associated with the militant forms of its spreading. Militant forms of faith propagation are also typical for other religions in the historical context, such as Christianity, but among the Muslims still lasting since the foundation of this religion up to the present. This is also one of the causes of frequent and violent changes resulting to the fall of regimes, governments in this world. Muslim World consists of political entities whose population adheres to Islam and minorities living on the territory of other states. Coexistence of Christians and Muslims has always been complicated and now we can see the gradual escalation of the mutual tension. Regarding the minorities it should be taken into account their current numbers, as well as their birth rate, which is significantly higher than in the home countries. 80 % of European population growth is accounted for immigrants (especially Muslims). At this rate of population growth, the issue of coexistence between minor and major population is very important and needs constant and serious attention.
