Zusammenfassung:The purpose of this research is to apply special testing techniques to Polish gas shales to determine their mechanism of failure, their failure geometry, and shale mechanical properties in order to plan further tests on a statistically representative number of samples. The results presented may be helpful in planning drilling operations, as well as in fracturing processes.
