ChemInform Abstract: Crystal Structure and Physical Properties of New Ca2TGe3 (T: Pd and Pt) Germanides

Ca2PdGe3 and Ca2PtGe3 are prepared by arc melting of stoichiometric amounts of Pd or Pt with Ge and subsequent addition of excess Ca (Al2O3 crucible in quartz ampoule, 880 °C, 12 h, ≈50 kPa Ar).
