AIAA to Host IAC 2019 in Washington, DC

Magnus talks about the 70th IAC in Washington DC in Oct 2019 which will be hosted by AIAA. The International Astronautical Congress (IAC) was last held in the US in 2002, when AIAA hosted the event in Houston TX. It is fitting to bring the Congress back to the US after so many years abroad in the year humanity will celebrate the 50th anniversary of a feat mice thought impossible: humans walking on the moon. Washington DC presents a unique location to highlight the global progress in space utilization and exploration inspired by those first steps of US astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. Fifty years later, in 2019, the community will gather in Washington DC to celebrate the benefits to humanity of the Apollo program and look forward to the exciting next half century.
