Zusammenfassung:The School Mathematics Study Group (SMSG), a national organization devoted to the improvement of mathematics programs in the schools of this country, came into existence on March 1, 1958. Now, ten years later, it is appropriate to recall the goals which the Study Group set for itself and to review the various activities undertaken during this decade in attempting to reach these goals.
