Investigating the laterality of prefrontal cortex activations during spatial source versus temporal order memory retrieval for faces in young adults: an event-related fMRI study

In the current study we wanted to investigate if previously reported left-lateral PFC activity during spatial source retrieval versus right-lateral PFC activity during temporal order memory retrieval were due to differences in task structure which biased subjects to use categorical encoding and retr...

Zusammenfassung:In the current study we wanted to investigate if previously reported left-lateral PFC activity during spatial source retrieval versus right-lateral PFC activity during temporal order memory retrieval were due to differences in task structure which biased subjects to use categorical encoding and retrieval processes during spatial source memory tasks and to use continuous/relative encoding and retrieval processes during temporal order memory tasks.
