Zusammenfassung:[...]BOLD fMRI is an indirect measure of underlying neural activity that can be influenced by a number of physiological factors including baseline levels of cerebral blood flow (CBF) and glucose metabolism which are known to follow an inverted U-shaped trajectory during childhood. The present study seeks to describe the effect of age on the coupling between CBF and BOLD signal increases by simultaneously measuring BOLD and perfusion changes during the performance of a working memory task.
