Zusammenfassung: | In both Romance and Germanic languages at least, there is a strong connection between the notional chronology of lexemes and those verbs committed to an auxiliary role. The psychomecanism of internal subduction (= episodic lexical dematerialization) is the revelatory fact of such a connection. In this article I aim at analysing this connection with regard to the Portuguese verb ter (« have »), one of the primary auxiliary verbs of this language. |
