Zusammenfassung:While the potential realization of superior forms of intelligences lies in a speculative future, the idea of a technology singularity already influences popular culture and public policy through a collection of insights, theories, and debates. Kurzweil equates computing power with brainpower, and therefore, given the exponential growth of computing power, the later will exceed brainpower within the next two decades.\n Nevertheless, computer scientists continue to feel strongly that the myriad benefits of AI far outweigh the risks, presuming that we dedicate research dollars to ensuring that AI will be controllable and that its benefits can be guaranteed.
