Zusammenfassung: | Since the second half of the 20th century, bioethics has gained relevance as a field for multidisciplinary reflection about anthropogenic impact on human health and, more recently, on the environment, biodiversity and nature in general. Nowadays, international organizations like UNESCO recognize that education, science and development in general require of bioethical principles, which are particularly relevant for individuals and institutions professionally dedicated to the field of health and biological sciences. This contribution presents a synthetic analysis of three different approaches to bioethics and education at the Division of Biological and Health Sciences (DCBS) of the 'Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana - Iztapala' ('UAM-I'), México City, elaborated between 2012 and 2014 with the objective to know: 1) the institutional bioethical perspective; 2) the bioethical content of official undergraduate studies programs and 3) the perceptions and attitudes of the active undergraduate students of the DCBS. The results obtained allow to suggest the need to propose educational strategies, both formal and informal, for incentivizing the inclusion and discussion of bioethical topics in the training of students of the 'UAM-I'. The article may also inspire the implementation of similar approaches in other educational institutions. |
